Introduction

As Europe faces an increasing amount of floods, what efforts are being made to coordinate a continental crisis response? We may not be able to accurately predict and prevent floods, but we can work together across borders to better manage the destructive impact they cause.

At European Crisis Cooperation 2008, government and civil protection leaders joined together with high-level flood experts to discuss the challenges, the successes, and the strategies for dealing with flood crises on a European level.
